Is it ALL just hockey with a hockey stick, only one uses roller skates, one uses ice skates & one is on the ground, on a field?
And what's the difference between these sports & lacrosse?
Also, would anyone know where an 8 year old girl can play any of these sports (particularly field hockey or lacrosse) in Suffolk County, New York?

You Use practically the same as ie hockey sticks but they are more durable and heavier.
You wear the same as ice hockey except use inline skates.
Well hockey was derived from lacrosse. The biggest difference between these sports and lacrosse is that in any of these hockey games the ball stays on the ground most of the time and is you hit the ball with a stick to pass it. In lacrosse you use a sticks with mesh pouches on the end and is thrown to another player and is caught in the air.

I couldnt find any field hockey teams because i dont live there but im sure there is one. They are played on what is in front of the word hockey.
Field hockey is mostly (not only) played by girls, on a large grass field similar to soccer with short sticks Originated in Pakistan. As far as lacrosse, they are played on the same style field with like rules.
Ice Hockey is played on a ice rink on skates. Originated in Canada.
Roller Hockey is a form of ice hockey on roller blades or skates.
